A Taste of Daily Life in Class 3

Teacher: Mrs Berry TA: Mrs Liles

This year, Class 3's classroom is one of the modular classrooms just across the KS2 playground.

The door opens at 8:55 and the working day starts promptly with a registration activity. This might be maths related or English.

After assembly, we return to the classroom where we study maths until playtime. Once we have topped up our energy levels with toast and milk, we play out. Following playtime, it is time to stretch our brains and use our imaginations in English.

Our next stop is lunch. Sometimes we play out first; other days we have our lunch first, in the Hall.

After lunch, we split into small groups and complete different reading activities in Guided Reading.

Each afternoon we study other subjects, for instance Science, History, French, RE , Art and PE. There are also lessons to practise Handwriting, Spelling, English Grammar and Punctuation. The day finishes with a story.

There is no afternoon playtime in Key Stage 2, so we work throughout the afternoon.

There are rewards for good behaviour, trying your best, being a good citizen and home reading.

Class 3 is a class of new learning and experiences.
